Buckley's Chance

Delicious avocado toast with a side of mushrooms. The decaf latte was a little bitter and not served in a glass.

It's a good sign when you go to a cafe/restaurant because of the reviews and there's a lot of patrons already there. This was the case today. We were able to find a table on the verandah, nicely warmed by the sun, with an outlook over the neighbouring carpark. Service was attentive and considering the number of patrons, timely. Good food is worth a little wait, and this was the case. Both Diner burgers with added bacon were tasty, with the beef patty still blushing in the middle. The accompanying chips were crispy and well seasoned. The Rueben sandwich came with a very generous serving of in-house smoked pastrami, which was delicious. Sauerkraut was nice, and the sourdough was crunchy, with almost too much butter being used to gain the crunch. The Allpress coffee was a little underwhelming and even a double shot didn't raise it to the normal Allpress taste. Prices are on the upper level but the food quality equates with the prices.

My partner and I travel up to Buckley’s chance every weekend we can. Beautifully crafted coffee with outstanding baristas that welcome you with a smile every time, the food hits the spot and dining in is even better especially with kids. It’s worth the drive out of Byron for even just a coffee. It’s a must.

Headed here with hubby on a Monday morning. Very busy! Service was prompt and friendly, and food very tasty. Water with lots of ice served very quickly. I had a cappuccino while he had a berry smoothie. I ate the fig bircher muesli, with added hash browns (so good; the best I've ever had), while he had chilli scrambled eggs on a slab of sourdough. Even for him, this was a big meal. I enjoyed the muesli (not too sweet). Coffee was fine. We sat on the back deck, which was lovely. Would love to go back for dinner! A tasty brunch, before heading back to Brisbane.

What a find ! Wonderful cafe with amazing food and great service. I had the wellness bowl vegan which had the most amazing flavours. One of the best bowls I've ever had. My family had the burgers and were equally impressed. This place is a must visit.

I stumbled across Buckley’s Chance by chance, and I’m so glad I did. The food, the service, the cocktails were amazing! I can’t wait to go back. Congrats to the team, you’ve got every chance of being my favourite cafe for years to come!

This is our third time at Buckley’s Chance for dinner and as far as meals and consistency go, they are by far one of the best restaurants in the Norther Rivers. Our meals were phenomenal, excellent wine list and the service there always makes us smile. Customer service isn’t that hard yet so many places fall down in the area. The Buckley’s staff and owners are just a genuinely lovely crew who clearly enjoy what they do. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

This restaurant has the most amazing exquisite tasting food, full of flavour with elements of surprise.We managed to have breakfast, lunch and dinner there.The service was excellent so helpful in deciding what to eat and drinks to match. Definitely worth visiting Alstonville to dine at this restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating available plus fresh bread, coffee and cabinet food.
